KEITH Wand was in fine form as he won both singles matches to help Chesters beat Wayfarers B 4-1 in Division One of the Cirencester and District League. Goldenballs also lost 4-1 to bottom-placed team Jinky – Jack Inkpen was the star player winning both his singles matches. In Division 2 , Sanford Link went down 5-0 to Wayfarers D as Ray and Steve Butt won easily to keep on course for the Division 2 title. Somewhere else in Division 2 , The PC’s conceded their match to Three Valleys 5-0.

While in PC’s other catch up matches, they lost 5-0 to third-placed Poulton and again to Rangers 3-2. In spite of John Appleby’s 2 singles wins, Rangers won the match on the doubles. In Division 3 , Cerney Exiles trounced Randwick O / Y 5-0 to keep up the stress on leaders Randwick Exiles B – their wins comming from Mary Wells and Liu Zhigand.

Bottom of the league Dinky lost 3-2 to Poulton B. Although Manahaz Collings won both her singles for Poulton to take the doubles.

The final catch-up night will now be on Apr twelve, with the finals night on Apr nineteen.
